Brolgas, seen from the boat in Yellow Waters. They are the only native cranes of Australia, just sometimes the Sarus crane from Japan comes for a visit. I'm not sure they are something one may easily see them at any other time of the year, but they are one of the best-known symbols of the Northern Territory. If you've ever been to the territory you should have seen that sign before. |
