My book says this little dove was common throughout Australia and indeed I saw one in southern Queensland before. But they both sat on the ground as this where they feed. Like the Spinifex Dove the Crested Pigeon belongs to the Bronzewing group of pigeons, mostly feeding on the ground. By the way: is there a difference between doves and pigeons? |
