A common and colourful bird: the Silver Gull, that can be found all over Australia, even deep in the dry mainland. Most gulls are resolute birds. So at the Wineglass Bay, where the below ones were photographed, an adult bird did have a problem with a juvenile one also trying to use us as a food source. It reminded me to childhood days: "This is for grown-up ones only! Children keep off!" But just like we did then, the chick didn't care much - it only made sure to keep out of the range of the other one's bill. |
