On a holy place

Jeff explaining the paintings These paintings are under an overhanging part of Uluru (Ayers Rock). Over thousands of years fathers went here with their sons to teach them how to paint. For outback terms this is a very comfortable place: shady, cool, water nearby and in the afternoon, when the work was done, splendid hunting chances.

This was no place to do arts, only the place to prepare for future arts. So there are layers and layers of paintings done by young boys trying to get their dad's okay.
