![]() ![]() Certainly one of the most common and best known Australian birds: The Kookaburra, sometimes called Laughing Kookaburra. On my first Australia trip I saw many of them sitting on the wires along the streets, but never heard one - I sat in the coach. On my second trip, when I did much more on my own feet, I haven't seen a single one, but heard their loud calls every morning in the Bothfeet Lodge. It's not easy to photograph them in the wild, so these pics are done in a sanctuary. |
