On previous travels I met a couple of Australians telling me about their country. It sounded quite fascinating to me and I decided to visit land and people as soon as possible. Now it was possible and I even had time enough to go there as long as I thought I should. I booked a long bus tour beginning in Sydney, but my journey started in Tasmania visiting friends. First I visited Sue and Geoff to stay later with Suzy and Rosco for a couple of days. Then I headed off for Sydney to begin the official tour. After a short, cold and cloudy day we went via Coffs Harbour and Byron Bay towards the Queensland border. |
