Friends of the Eye : our gossip
The contact page for people who sailed in the Eye of the Wind. As we're such a wide-spread bunch, this may be the place to get in contact again with your old travel mates.
You may notice this is not the familiar look of this place. But indeed, due to a huge spam problem, I had to upgrade the place. So about everything is different from what it was and I did not fully understand the design tricks yet. But as soon as I did, you'll get the varnished timber back, I promise!! :)
Also, due to now more than 2000 porn and other junk entries, we now require a log-in to post, hoping to keep the robots off. I am tired of dealing with all that crap.
To add your post, click "Log in", type your name, your valid email and select a password. You will receive an email with a link. Click that link and be free to post your stories, comments or what ever.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but otherwise the forum gets flooded under junk. For any questions, please email to:
At the beginning of the address, put friendsgossip, then the "at" symbol, then my family name, which is Koys. At the end, close with .de for Germany.
Sorry for providing a riddle, but sometimes 800 spams per day is enough to me. I have to do something about that. Hope, this helps both of us - you and me.

Chris is a kind of our cultural alibi. For most of us sailing is a hobby, but as far as I know only for Chris and me the historical approach of square rigg sailing is an important matter. But when I closed the matter in the age of 13 I reached about 5% of Chris' level. He is what I call a professional hobbyist. Ask him for any sailing ship's wreck, any sea shanty in the world and you'll probably get a substantial answer. He even sailed the Hoorn on a square rigger! It used to be a nice event of information and entertainment when he took the chance to have an afternoon talk about sea traditions and sailors songs - you may watch some of them on the Farewell page.
Yes, it's no secret Chris and I had some problems om our first voyage together. But for some reason they were gone when we met the second time and I really enjoyed that one.
